Pork rinds right out of the bag can be very bland. This is good if you want to use them as a crust to fry food, but not so good if you just want something to snack on.
In this recipe, we are going to add butter sweetened with Stevia Sweetleaf clear liquid and sprinkle on cinnamon to make these a sweet treat suitable for both low-carb and keto diets.
Ingredients:
1 8.5 oz bag pork rinds
4 Tbsp butter
35 drops Stevia Sweet Leaf Clear liquid
Approximately 2 Tbsp cinnamon
Instructions:
Add butter to a microwave-safe bowl and warm it just enough to melt it.
Add pork rinds and stir them to coat them lightly in butter
Bake the pork rinds at 350 degrees for 5-7 minutes
Take pork rinds out and sprinkle with cinnamon while warm
Once they cool down, you can keep them in a tub or clear plastic food storage bag.
This is 11 carbs total, with almost all carbs coming from the cinnamon. You can adjust carbs up or down by the amount of cinnamon used.
Makes 4 servings of 2.75 carbs per serving.
